Lamington National Park
Situated on the picturesque Scenic Rim, a chain of mountains spanning the Queensland/NSW border, Lamington National Park is at the heart of the world heritage-listed Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves.
In the Gold Coast hinterland, Lamington National Park provides 160km of walking tracks with spectacular cascades and waterfalls, eroded volcanic caves, fern filled gullies and mountain lookouts with amazing views of the Gold Coast.
Burleigh Head National Park
Burleigh Heads National Park is famed for its striking scenery and range of wildlife. Make use of the picnic areas where you can see hundreds of rainbow lorikeets in the huge pine trees at sunset and even catch a glimpse of a migrating whale off the point if you’re lucky!
Tamborine National Parks
Tamborine National Park is a legacy of volcanic eruptions some 23 million years ago and is home to many rainforest animals including the rare Albert's lyrebird and one of the world's largest skinks, the land mullet. The Richmond birdwing butterfly and noisy pitta migrate seasonally to the park from nearby higher altitude rainforests.
Springbrook National Park
Covering land on and around Springbrook Plateau, the Springbrook National Park protects rainforests, eucalypt forests and the headwaters of rivers flowing to the Gold Coast. The parks walking tracks take you to various lookouts, waterfalls and forests and range in difficulty from easy to challenging.
